logo animoto 250 Animoto for Real Estate Launches to Give Brokers and Agents Powerful Video Creation and Marketing ToolsAnimoto, the video creation platform that lets anyone quickly and easily create professional-quality videos from their own photos, music and text, today expands its commercial-use offerings by launching Animoto for Real Estate. The new site showcases the numerous ways Animoto helps real estate agents and brokers effortlessly create stunning videos to promote and market properties within minutes. Animoto for Real Estate launches today in San Francisco at the Inman Real Estate Connect conference, where the company was nominated for an Innovator Award.

“In today’s competitive real estate market, a good first impression is the key to securing a listing, generating buzz for a listing, and selling a home,” said Brad Jefferson, CEO & Co-founder of Animoto. “Animoto for Real Estate helps guarantee a good first impression of a home or agent so the agent can focus on closing.”

At launch, Animoto also announced that online real estate brokerage Redfin will equip their agents nationwide with Animoto for Real Estate accounts.

“Our research shows that a prospective home-buyer will look at the photos of a house nearly 20 times over in the 24 hours before making an offer,” said Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman. “And Internet consumers spend one third the time touring properties that their traditional counterparts once did. So the challenge for listing agents all comes down to creating an online experience with high emotional impact. The way Animoto couples music, motion, text and photography creates a far more powerful medium for selling a home, with higher conversion rates than photos alone.”

Animoto for Real Estate makes marketing properties and real estate services easy and affordable, eclipsing the current time-consuming and expensive video creation solutions on the market. Animoto videos are compatible with all MLS video standards, and give agents the ability to create and market open house videos to maximize their advertising efforts and follow-up with potential buyers.

Built on the Animoto for Business platform, Animoto for Real Estate is a $249 annual subscription service that provides unlimited access to create, present, view, share, download and sell professional-quality videos.

In addition to all the standard Animoto.com consumer features, Animoto for Real Estate incorporates features designed specifically for agents and brokers, including:

  • Easy video embedding on websites and blogs with no programming or technical experience required.
  • Easy video posting to YouTube and other popular social networking sites.
  • Unlimited DVD-quality video downloads that can be burned to DVD to present to a client or showcased at an open house or other real estate event.
  • A text feature that allows agents to easily incorporate important listing information within the video such as location, square footage, and number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Access to Animoto’s commercial music library of 300+ royalty-free songs.
  • Optional Call-to-Action button to drive viewers back to your site or listing.

The heart of Animoto is its Cinematic Artificial Intelligence technology that thinks like an actual director and editor using the same sophisticated post-production skills and techniques that are used in television and film. The technology takes into account every nuance of a song: the genre, song structure, energy, rhythm, instrumentation, and vocals. No two videos are ever the same; even videos generated with an identical set of images and music will each have a completely distinct set of motion design.

Commercial Real Estate Developers and Brokers Thrive Online During Tough Economic Times

The economy may not offer ideal conditions for sellers in the real estate market at the moment, but a bright spot does exist. Firms like inMotion Real Estate Media (www.inMotionRealEstate.com) are helping commercial developers and real estate brokers make more sales by taking advantage of the efficiency and affordability of Internet marketing.

inmotion logo Commercial Real Estate Developers and Brokers Thrive Online During Tough Economic TimesFew industries have been hit as hard as the real estate market by recent economic troubles. Yet developers are finding new hope in attracting buyers using the Internet. Real estate media and marketing firms such as Boston-area inMotion Real Estate Media are introducing developers and real estate brokers to Internet marketing and new media tactics enabling them to reach more targeted buyers with tighter advertising budgets. In fact, the California Association of REALTORS discovered in their 2008 Use of Technology survey that REALTORS attributed 48% of their 2008 business to the Web — an increase of 4% over the previous year.

Real estate marketing is still very traditional in a lot of ways

When a developer is seeking buyers for new a property, they may launch a direct mail campaign, purchase pricey newspaper or magazine advertisements, or put up large print signage. Internet marketing gives developers a targeted and cost effective approach to attracting willing buyers. It works by connecting people to properties they’re interested in and already searching for.

A professional Web presence and effective marketing strategy on the Web give real estate developers a competitive edge
“Real estate marketing is still very traditional in a lot of ways,” says inMotion Real Estate Media Founder Bob Samii. “When a developer is seeking buyers for new a property, they may launch a direct mail campaign, purchase pricey newspaper or magazine advertisements, or put up large print signage. Internet marketing gives developers a targeted and cost effective approach to attracting willing buyers. It works by connecting people to properties they’re interested in and already searching for.”

inMotion Real Estate Media helps commercial real estate developers find people or companies interested in leasing their properties without relying on costly advertising and print promotions. With expertise in building comprehensive online real estate marketing solutions, inMotion is able to directly connect developers with interested buyers who are actually searching on the Internet for properties like the ones they have available.

They help companies put a professional and interactive face on their development projects by building new Web sites or improving outdated ones to offer a better user experience. After building or improving their Web presence, developers can better attract interested buyers through targeted search engine optimization (SEO), making it more likely that people will find their Web site ranked well in the search engines while searching for properties. Once on the site, potential buyers can be offered property tours or promotional videos, floor plans, and other features to convert more visitors into viable leads.

inMotion Real Estate Media offers real estate Web development to commercial developers, including an increasing number of the nation’s top development firms, guiding them in interactive and online real estate marketing strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

“A professional Web presence and effective marketing strategy on the Web give real estate developers a competitive edge,” says Samii. “Many of their competitors in the real estate market don’t have Web sites, have outdated sites, or haven’t fully embraced digital promotion yet. If they have, they may be facing unnecessary costs of having a designer or developer make all of their Web site updates for them, at an additional cost. At inMotion, we help developers keep their costs down while giving them an online presence that appeals to today’s buyers. Sites are built on our user-friendly content management system (CMS), so clients can make changes to their information online whenever they want, with no complicated software to learn.”

6 Tips for Making Your Email Marketing Stand Out

logo fuelnet 6 Tips for Making Your Email Marketing Stand OutWhile email is fast becoming the marketing channel of choice for most growing businesses, concerns remain. In an effort to reduce stuffed in-boxes, consumers are increasingly using spam filters that block even the most legitimate email marketing, and JupiterResearch reports that 17 percent of Americans change email addresses every six months. But there are proven ways to make your message resonate with a target audience. FuelNet.com, a Web site designed to help small and midsize companies grow their business, offers these six tips:

  1. Build your list, don’t buy it. Even though the price may be modest for tens of thousands of names, the demographics of a purchased or rented list are a crapshoot, and there’s always a risk you’ll be accused of spamming. Instead, give visitors to your Web site an easy way — and a legitimate reason — to opt in to your emails.
  2. Make it more than a sales pitch. Email campaigns that only hawk products are doomed to the trash folder. Instead, use email to provide valuable insights and guidance that further the reader’s understanding and appreciation of your product or service. “Have something to say,” recommends Ben Chestnut, cofounder of the Rocket Science Group, an Atlanta firm that produces the email software MailChimp. “Don’t just add to the clutter.”
  3. Keep it short. An email marketing effort wrapped in a newsletter can be overwhelming for the reader. Rebecca Leigh Brian, owner of the New York-based marketing and branding firm Tribecca Designs, prefers “e-blasts” — succinct emails that highlight products or events. “Usually, we keep e-blasts to six sentences or less,” she notes.
  4. Link to a blog. Blogs and email marketing aren’t mutually exclusive. If your email is brief, include a link to a blog (such as http://retechy.com) for more comprehensive information. “A brief email and a link to a blog go together,” Chestnut says. “They’re like peanut butter and chocolate.”
  5. Build momentum. Email campaigns work best when they build on prior material, creating a complete picture of what you do. “Each one should offer a nugget of value,” Brian points out.
  6. Solicit feedback. Email marketing is a great opportunity to connect with customers and best prospects. Jamie Carney, president and CEO of RugsDoneRight.com, asks for suggestions on ways to improve her Web site.

Add Listings to your Facebook Page

elistit Add Listings to your Facebook PageFacebook is not only a great tool for locating your high school sweetheart, it’s also a powerful business resource for real estate agents. The latest real estate facebook application, by eListit.com, enables Realtors to add a “Listings” tab to their facebook profile page. It’s available for a FREE 30-day trial version, after which it retails at $49.99/year.

The application is fairly intuitive and easy to use though we ran into issues (server error) when we removed the application from a profile page and attempted to reinstall.

My first recommendation for the app developers is devise a method for pulling listing data directly from the MLS to avoid the laborious task of entering in data manually. I would almost regret getting that extra listing for fear of having to duplicate efforts (almost).

Below are screenshots of the application on a facebook page.

elistit 1 Add Listings to your Facebook Page

REtecy contacted eListit.com and here is what they had to say:

We started life primarily as a rental search/listing service and later expanded into real estate listings. We have started focusing some energy on better serving our real estate clients. Real estate agents are able to create a personal profile that appears alongside their listings.

Recognizing that real estate agents who use our service got to some effort to increase the visibility of their listings, we decided we we could help them leverage that effort and enable them publicize their listing on their facebook profile. Real estate agents already know that many of their best customers are their friends and family and these same people can be their best promoters (if they know what the agent has for sale).

We are actively look at expanding and improving this feature as well as providing other means of helping agents promote their business.

How Web 2.0 and Social Networking Go Hand in Hand

web20 How Web 2.0 and Social Networking Go Hand in HandIt sounds like a new type of software for the computer. Web 2.0 has become the buzz word of the moment. Even as popular as the term, there are many people who want to know exactly what Web 2.0 really is. If you’re one of them, read on to find out.

The phrase was coined by a man named Tim O’Reilly at a conference. It seemed to take off and morph into a new idea for the advancement of social networking sites on the Internet. So, Web 2.0 is actually a type of platform that supports and brings more to these social networking sites.

The idea of social networking begins with the individual model. Individuals meet other individuals and form connections. This concept would be physically demonstrated by balls and sticks like the blocks we used to play with as kids. Without the sticks to connect the balls, they wouldn’t have a connection.

Web 2.0 provides the base where these interactions occur. It also defines the way in which the interactions can occur. Individuals create profiles that can stand alone and meet new people through those profiles. Other features of the platform like news feeds, multimedia content, blogs, instant messages, social groups, audio and video, and message boards are also a huge part of Web 2.0. In this way, the connection of one individual grows and develops into an entire network of others.

There are several social networking sites that use Web 2.0 as their basis. Including some you may have heard of:

There are many more, but you get the idea from the partial list. If you belong to any of these social networking sites, you have sampled a Web 2.0 platform. Each site utilizes user-generated content that is ranked by the search engines. Good content is found and the content producer gains a following that can be used to gain popularity on the web or increased visibility for a business.

Web 2.0 platforms are used by businesses, universities, and families. It is a way to keep in touch with easy to use and manageable applications. One useful application is the RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed which automatically updates subscribers when changes occur to your page. This is specific application is frequently used on blogs and news sites to save readers time. They no longer have to check their favorite websites daily for updates. Instead they receive a notice via email or in their feed reader when something new has been posted.

Companies can use Web 2.0 technology through Google Groups and Yahoo Groups. Employees can sign up and become a part of groups to receive important information about company projects or social agendas. Anyone can form a group on Google or Yahoo for business or social reasons.

Web 2.0 provides several tools for the business user and the purely personal social networker. Driving traffic to a blog, website, or other piece of information has never been more convenient than with the rise of Web 2.0 and social networking sites.

Networking on MySpace

myspace logo Networking on MySpaceMySpace first came to the attention of many parents because their kids were using it. But, MySpace is not only for kids but also for the innovative business owner looking to create a following on the Internet. You can easily find friends on MySpace, but also build a compelling profile that attracts business associates.

Like many of these types of social networking sites and their earlier forms of chatting and instant messaging, parents have become concerned about MySpace. They didn’t know much about it but what they did know they didn’t like. Kids were sharing personal information to meet new friends but many of the “friends” that were finding them were up to unsavory things. Pedophiles were finding our kids instead of age appropriate friends.

MySpace was a fun place to post pictures and talk to others but the lack of strong security became a major concern. Parents discussed with their kids the fact that all people on the Internet who posed as young kids were not young kids. Both users and parents became savvy when it came to discerning contacts with honorable and dishonest intentions.

Still, MySpace grew and changed to meet the demands of the public. For those using this site, they could create profiles, upload pictures, and add multimedia content like music and videos for their friends to see. It is these features that attract new members to MySpace, particularly small and large business owners.

For the business owner, MySpace represented an untapped market of people who were potential customers. They could link their profile to their websites and join groups with similar business and personal interests to draw in new business. MySpace was not just a twenty-something hot spot, but a business hub as well.

Networking on MySpace begins with a membership. Joining the social networking site is free. Once you sign up, it’s time to create a profile. Profiles are essentially about you. It is a place where you can tout all of your good qualities as well as your business.

But, that is not the end. To network, you have to meet people. The only way to do that is through getting involved in chats, leave messages for others, upload media for friends to see, and join social groups. If kids can do it, certainly adults and business owners can do it too.

Invite friends, family members, and business associates to join your contact list and visit your profile page. They don’t have to sit on the computer every day to check out your MySpace page. If they have access to Internet on their cell phones, they can check in with you from there too. Whenever people have time to check in on your page, they can do so and see any new updates you’ve made.

Networking on MySpace has its good and bad points. As parents, we are responsible to monitor our kids and their MySpace profiles. For business owners, MySpace presents another avenue for building a wider customer base and sharing information and resources with likeminded individuals.

Implement this Internet Marketing Strategy and Watch Your Return on Investment Soar

December 11, 2008 by admin

Did you know that the second most favorable advertising technique used by Internet marketers today is something as simple as Email Marketing? Its popularity follows the number one strategy, which is search engine marketing. What makes this tool so well-liked by website owners?

Email marketing simply takes direct mail marketing to the computer age. Direct mail has been sent by companies for many years to reach the broadest audience possible for increased sales. Email marketing does the same only it’s sent almost instantly through your Internet provider instead of the postal mail which could take days or weeks to be received.

Email Marketing Provides a Higher Return on Investment for Your Business

Seems a bit hard to believe doesn’t it? It almost sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t. Let’s take a look at what using email marketing has brought to online business owners:

The ability to reach a more targeted audience – Why waste time and money advertising to thousands of people when only a small number of them are likely to buy. Email marketing allows you to advertise your business to people who are already interested in what you have to offer. This way, you put forth more effort into selling your products or services to those people and not to those who don’t want them.

Making your business more memorable – It’s time to face the music. No one is going to remember who you are or where you’re at by visiting your site once. That’s not good news since studies have shown that people don’t tend to buy the first time they see a product. It takes several visits before potential customers are willing to give in and buy. Email marketing uses what are known as autoresponders to send out email communications on a regular basis. The more sent to those who opt-in with their email address, the more your name comes to mind when they’re in need of what you have to offer.

Builds trust – How many people can you think of that would buy from someone they don’t know? Probably not too many, right? The reason being is because they have not reached a level of trust with those they don’t know. Too many people have been burned in the past, so consumers are naturally on guard – especially when buying on the Internet. They want to buy from someone they can trust. Email marketing provides that reassurance. It enables you to keep the lines of communication going with updated information on a topic they are interested in. When the customer is ready to buy, they’re more likely to come to you to purchase what they need.

Ease of use and economical - There are several autoresponder and email marketing software programs and services that are inexpensive and do most of the work for you. A small investment of time and money gets you hassle-free marketing without breaking one bead of sweat.

Can you think of a better way to market to your target audience, build trust and get your business name in the forefront of their minds? Especially when there’s little work in it for you? If hundreds of successful Internet marketers swear by this technique, why wouldn’t you use it as well?

Win or Lose – Where Will Your Website Fall On the Internet Wheel of Fortune?

December 11, 2008 by admin

Will you win or will you lose? You’ve probably seen the show Wheel of Fortune where people spin the wheel to determine what prizes they could they win. If you were to spin the Internet Fortune Wheel, where would your website land? Would it be on the winning side or are you closer to going bankrupt?

Most people think they just need to zip out any old site and it will work for them. That, my friend, is an attitude you can’t afford to have when it comes to working online. Your website is the calling card for your online business. Without it, you would have difficulty getting people to find you, let alone buy your products.

Publishing a site to the internet that isn’t appealing or doesn’t cut it will cause the Internet wheel to land on the losing side for you. If you want your business to be a success, don’t risk your hard earned money and time by having an ineffective site.

Why is it so Important to Have a Well Created Site?

You have an online business and your site will be your “store” from which all your sales and transactions will take place. If you walk into a local store, you will see a specifically designed layout within that store. Everything is placed where it is, for a reason.

Why? Brick and mortar store owners do this to increase interest in products or to gain more sales. Most stores are kept pretty clean and fairly easy to navigate to help you find what you need. The reason for that is to build a rapport with you, so you can develop trust with that store and their workers. How many people do you think would buy items from a dirty, grungy, poorly laid out store? Not too many.

People don’t trust business owners that don’t take care of their stores. When selling online, your “store” is your website, so you must take care of it and make sure it’s pleasing and easy to navigate for your online visitors. Those visitors are no different than the customers who walk into the local stores. Will your site measure up?

Your business site should come across to your visitor as a professional site with which to do business from. It should welcome them, help them around and make the sale as easy as possible for them. Since your website says a lot about your business, you will need to make sure it speaking positive things.

Plan to create the best possible professional website to sell your products from. Your customers are important to the success of your business. No customers = No sales. A site that grabs a visitor and keeps them there while you layout what you have to offer and your sales pitch will land on the winning side of that Internet wheel. The losing side is only for those who don’t care about their business and whether or not it succeeds. Since you’re not one of them, keep your site up to par and make your customers happy.

Why Business Blogs are a Necessity, Not an Option, for a Website’s Success

December 10, 2008 by admin
Filed under Blogging, Latest Posts, Marketing

icon blog 250 Why Business Blogs are a Necessity, Not an Option, for a Website’s SuccessBlogs have been around for many years. They started out, in the beginning, as great personal journals for Internet users who wanted to share their daily lives with their family and friends. Now, fast forward through the years to today; where they are now commonly used as business tools as well as private diaries of sorts.

Blogs are basically mini-websites authors use to post information about a specific topic. Some blogs share experiences of an author’s career path, while others provide up to date news concerning the topic their blog presents.

What Makes Blogs Such a Great Tool to a Business Owner?

Blogs can provide so many opportunities for business to reap rewards that no business website should be without one. Here are some of the benefits a blog can provide any business owner:

A blog can drive more targeted traffic to their main site.

Blogs are favorites of search engines. They provide up to date content on a regular basis, so search engines will find them easier. Blogs can also be linked with other like-minded blogs to allow for more click-through visitors. Social bookmarking sites, social media sites and even message board forums love them as well. People will refer their friends to them when they see something they like.

Blogs make it easier to gain return visitors.

If a visitor likes your blog, they’ll keep coming back to see what else you have to say on a specific topic. Business blogs can be linked to the main company site as well. The more times people stop by, the more chances an owner has of getting those visitors to your business site.

Blogs allow one to easily gain expert status amongst a target audience.

The more you blog about your site’s topic, the more you come across as an expert in that field. A visitor can be awed by the information you’re offering them and could look up to you as an expert on a particular subject. Now, the next time they need to buy a certain product or need help with something in that area, they will think of you first.

Blogs are user friendly and inexpensive to boot.

There are blog programs that you can sign up for free or for a very nominal fee. Most blogs are easy to set up as they generally walk you through the process step-by-step. There aren’t too many marketing tools that are as easy to use and inexpensive to obtain. This alone makes a blog painless to your business budget.

Business blogs are easier when it comes to upkeep.

Blogs are fun to use, which makes them much easier to maintain. Posting regular tidbits of your chosen topic keeps a blog updated without a lot of hassle. Updating websites is essential, but can be time consuming and confusing as well.

The biggest benefit business blogs provide is…

Building Rapport with Your Target Audience

This is, by far, the best benefit you can obtain from a blog. Blogs have comment sections where readers can leave messages for you to let you know they liked what you said in a post or to add their own thoughts on the topic at hand.

You’re building a relationship with your target audience that can help gain trust from them as well as find out what they’re looking for in a product. This is your way to get an inside look at what your customer’s wants and needs are without spending lots of money on marketing surveys and advertisements that don’t work.

Blogs can give your business everything mentioned above and more. Adding a blog to your arsenal of marketing tools is a must do for any online business owner.
